전자기 장애를 일으킬 수 있거나 또는 이러한 장애파에 의해 성능에 영향을 미칠 수 있는 모든 전기, 전자 기기 또는 전기, 전자 부품을 포함하여 설치된
시스템에 적용한다. 이 지침의 적용 범위는 매우 넓고 이론적이어서 배터리로 작동되는 장난감에서부터 대형 산업 기계에까지 포괄적으로 적용된다. -
전자파장애
전도 저주파 장애(Conducted low frequency disturbances)

유럽 연합 내에서 사용되지 않고 유럽 연합 이외로 수출되는 기기
거대 고정 설치기 - Power stations 또는 원유 굴착기 등
상업적으로 사용되지 않는 아마츄어 무선 통신 기기
군사적 목적으로 사용되지 않는 군수 기기
타 지침서에 의해 수정받는 기기 - 의료기기 등
